Low-voltage complete control unit ESh-6/45 for draglines excavators
Low-voltage complete device ESh-6/45 is designed for controlling draglines.
Single-bucket backhoe draglines are the main machines used in coal and ore mines as extraction and stripping machines and as the most satisfactory machines for operation in the most severe mining, geological and climatic conditions.
Low-voltage package units (LVD) ESh-6/45 are designed for:
- providing regulated DC voltage for generator excitation circuits via "thyristor converter-generator-motor" (TV-G-D) system with digital two-circuit parameter slave control system and digital adaptive intensity setter at the system input;
- providing stabilized current supply to excitation circuits of main electric drives motors;
- preliminary acceleration of four-machine converter unit up to subsynchronous speed by "thyristor converter-motor" system (TP-D);
- excitation current supply to the synchronous motor (PM) as a function of time, with subsequent automatic regulation of excitation, depending on the value of the active component of the PM stator current;
- control of electric drives of auxiliary mechanisms;
- formation of required static and dynamic characteristics of main electric drives;
- giving of light signals to driver's control panels about energized state of electric drives, as well as light and sound signal in case of emergency condition of electric equipment;
- control of relay-contactor circuit;
- diagnostics and automatic control of thyristor converters with microprocessor control.
They provide:
- energy saving due to original circuit solutions;
- convenience of maintenance, effective self-diagnostics, high speed and excellent controllability of excavator mechanisms.

Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies are designed as four main cabinets. All cabinets are one-sided service, relay-contactor cabinet is two-sided service. On the front side the cabinets have doors equipped with special locks. On the roof of the cabinets are transportation eyebolts. At installation on site the bolts can be removed, and the free holes are used for additional attachment of cabinets to the walls of the excavator body. Inside the cabinets there is control and protection equipment, the composition and description of which is given in the relevant manuals for the cabinets. Measuring instruments and light signaling lamps are installed on the cabinet doors and on the swing panel. In the bottom part of cabinets there are terminal blocks for connection of external installation cables. Cables are led through the open openings of the bottom frames. Grounding of cabinets is realized through external and internal grounding clamps, located in the right or left bottom part of cabinets. Upon agreement with the customer, transformers are included in the package of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies.
